Once upon a time,
I was so stressed out; it was playing havoc on my body and my mind. There was a sign at a local park advertising "Yoga Classes". My, daughter agreed to attend a class with me. Unsure of what to expect we took the first step and rolled out our mats. It was and continues to be one of the greatest experiences of my life.
In 2008, after an extensive 9 month Anusara teacher training program, I began teaching and received the 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher credential (RYT-200) through Yoga Alliance. In May 2011, after more extensive training, I earned the Anusara Inspired Teacher credential. Last year (2013) I became an E-RYT 200 (Experience Register Yoga Teacher). From 2008 through 2012 I continued my yoga education attending workshops and training sessions led by local and international master yoga teachers acquiring an additional 330 hours. I continue to study yoga philosophy, anatomy, asana and therapeutic yoga strategies because I love it.
My training was mostly in Anusara Yoga. I have ventured onto a broader path but continue to practice and teach Alignment based and therapeutic yoga.
Yoga rescued me. It offered a path toward knowing and settling into myself. I became so enamored by the practice and the amazing benefits from practicing, I had to share it.
I am grateful for and deeply love my family, teachers, students and this practice. It is my intention to continue practicing, learning, teaching and sharing yoga. I hope you will join me on this amazing journey.
